I’ve been stringing words together ever since I can remember. An avid storywriter as a young girl, I always knew that my pastime would become my profession.
As a freelance copywriter, I take great pleasure in involving the reader as much as possible, regardless of how the story is presented, be it a Web site, interactive brochure, advertisement or online press release.
I take the time to make sure that every word is purposeful and every sentence leads logically into the next. If I can engage the readers and effortlessly guide them along the path until every word is absorbed, understood and ultimately acted upon, then I’ve done my job.
From television producer to marketing writer
I’ve been fortunate over the past twenty years to find many outlets for my creative writing. From eight years as a television writer/producer, to advertising copywriter with Toronto ad and promotion agencies, and finally with my own writing company started more than 15 years ago, I’ve built a well-rounded background for myself and even earned a few industry awards along the way.
My work in web sites, brochure, ad and direct mail copy, radio commercials, television commercials and sales videos has not only deepened my writing skills, but also positioned me as a copywriter with the ability to compose a consistent message for multi-element programs. What that means is, while the writing is customized to suit the medium (because you wouldn’t use brochure copy for a billboard, as an example), your message and branding integrity stays true from your site, to your brochure, to your ad campaign, and beyond.

With my television producer experience at the core, I have embraced the world of the web as an Information Architect and web site copywriter. In addition, I have a solid understanding of search engine copywriting or SEO copywriting, and know how to integrate keywords seamlessly into web copy to help a site achieve higher rankings with the search engines.
