Give yourself permission to “hold down the couch”
When was the last time you “checked out” for a day?
Before yesterday, I couldn’t remember a single day when I just let time unfold on its own.
Why I like to use PRWeb for online press releases
I’ve been a fan of the press release distribution service, PRWeb, for several years now. The service has always been first rate. It’s easy to use and I can reach a real person by phone whenever I need to.
Tips to optimize your website easily
My friend Mhairi Petrovic of Out Smarts has just written a great post on “10 easy ways to optimize your site.” Take a look. It’s worth a read for those who aren’t “technodweebs.”
Podcasting. Is it ok to read?
Close on the heels of recording my first podcast with Mhairi Petrovic of Out-Smarts Marketing, I was “lurking” (yes, sorry kids, “lurking.”) on the Facebook page of long-time friend and podcasting consultant, Donna Papacosta of Trafalgar Communications.
Donna’s post on How to read a podcast script and not sound like you’re reading caught my eye. For anyone who is considering doing a podcast, my best advice is to be prepared. It’s number one on Donna’s list too. Often being prepared means determining what you’re going to say ahead of time, which then leads to writing out your script (or answers if it’s an interview,) which then means you might be inclined to read it. Making it sound natural can be a real challenge. Take heart. Read Donna’s helpful post and you’ll soon be sounding like a podcasting pro!
My first podcast is definitely not my last
When Mhairi Petrovic of Out-Smarts asked me to do a podcast with her on SEO writing, I was very hesitant at first. I had worked on podcasts for clients before, but never imagined myself actually being in one. Mhairi assured me that it was very casual and relaxed – so I agreed to do it.
